Well everyone this is it. I can't say how much I've enjoyed working with all of you and the fun I've had being a part of the ASB community these last two years. You have all reminded me how important it is to make relationships with your students, because it's about so much more than just teaching content. This is a big lesson I will take with me as I go back into a more traditional classroom. I will enjoy the structure and familiarity of Chemistry, but I'll miss the excitement of ASB for sure. I made a short MS Form reflecting on the year and how you might do things differently if you had to repeat this year. I'd love your feedback on this, and I think it would be really helpful to pass on to next year's ASB (especially as they may be in uncharted territory depending on what school looks like in the fall). https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nAYNexOdUyAWk20-BGuoeKrMFcNoRhBg_k6Dk31oVRUMVNYUDBCR09ZWDVOMVFUMzlSWlZRRk5EMi4u Thank you all for your dedication and effort during this unpredictable time and for all the things you taught me. Don't forget to stop by the 1200 wing next year and say hi! Have a safe, relaxing, and recharging summer! Love, Mrs. Henry

Welcome to the last full week of school! We'll have one final Zoom meeting on Tuesday. This week though you should be focusing your time and effort on finishing up any final reflections and completing the MS Form End of Year Reflection Parts 1, 2, and 3 from last week if you haven't already. Last day to get reflections in for grading is FRIDAY the 19th. See you all on Tuesday!
Here's out last whole class Zoom if you want to watch
All,
This is our last week with our whole class as the Seniors will be graduating this week. I wanted to say how impressed I've been with your resiliency and effort during this time, not only in and for our class but for your other classes as well. This has certainly been a trying time, but you all have shown great fortitude and flexibility and have shown me true strength. I'm really proud of all the work you have all done. With that in mind, I'd like this week for you to reflect on your work in ASB over this whole year. I've got an End of Year Reflection for you to complete and broke it up into three sections 1) Projects you worked on 2) ASB projects in general 3) Your performance in ASB. I broke the Reflection up into three because I would like you to take the time to be thoughtful and honest in your reflections. Part 1 https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nAYNexOdUyAWk20-BGuoeKrMFcNoRhBg_k6Dk31oVRUNlBNQjUwMFNZM05PWU9XRTYzSU5HSlI4Ry4u Part 2 https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nAYNexOdUyAWk20-BGuoeKrMFcNoRhBg_k6Dk31oVRUNlVGUTFRUksyNFpMUFAwUk02MFE2NjVMRC4u Part 3 https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nAYNexOdUyAWk20-BGuoeKrMFcNoRhBg_k6Dk31oVRUMTlJRllSUkczM0ROSEFYT0RVR05VQVZCOC4u I want you to give me honest feedback as I'd like to be able to take the insights learned from your responses and share them with Mr. Frost and next year's ASB Exec Board so that they can learn from what we've experienced this year and try to improve upon it. Often what we do in ASB is learn from our mistakes and try to improve upon our past activities and experiences. With a changing of the guard each year (especially this year with a change in advisor) I don't want the lessons learned to get lost in the transfer. These reflections will not be used to give you a different grade, those are mostly set at this point (as long as you're engaging :) ) so please be as thoughtful and honest as you can. Thank you all for everything. I really have loved my time in ASB, especially the time I got to spend working with and learning from all of you. Mrs. Henry |
