Well everyone this is it. I can't say how much I've enjoyed working with all of you and the fun I've had being a part of the ASB community these last two years. You have all reminded me how important it is to make relationships with your students, because it's about so much more than just teaching content. This is a big lesson I will take with me as I go back into a more traditional classroom. I will enjoy the structure and familiarity of Chemistry, but I'll miss the excitement of ASB for sure. I made a short MS Form reflecting on the year and how you might do things differently if you had to repeat this year. I'd love your feedback on this, and I think it would be really helpful to pass on to next year's ASB (especially as they may be in uncharted territory depending on what school looks like in the fall). https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nAYNexOdUyAWk20-BGuoeKrMFcNoRhBg_k6Dk31oVRUMVNYUDBCR09ZWDVOMVFUMzlSWlZRRk5EMi4u Thank you all for your dedication and effort during this unpredictable time and for all the things you taught me. Don't forget to stop by the 1200 wing next year and say hi! Have a safe, relaxing, and recharging summer! Love, Mrs. Henry

Welcome to the last full week of school! We'll have one final Zoom meeting on Tuesday. This week though you should be focusing your time and effort on finishing up any final reflections and completing the MS Form End of Year Reflection Parts 1, 2, and 3 from last week if you haven't already. Last day to get reflections in for grading is FRIDAY the 19th. See you all on Tuesday!
Here's out last whole class Zoom if you want to watch
All,
This is our last week with our whole class as the Seniors will be graduating this week. I wanted to say how impressed I've been with your resiliency and effort during this time, not only in and for our class but for your other classes as well. This has certainly been a trying time, but you all have shown great fortitude and flexibility and have shown me true strength. I'm really proud of all the work you have all done. With that in mind, I'd like this week for you to reflect on your work in ASB over this whole year. I've got an End of Year Reflection for you to complete and broke it up into three sections 1) Projects you worked on 2) ASB projects in general 3) Your performance in ASB. I broke the Reflection up into three because I would like you to take the time to be thoughtful and honest in your reflections. Part 1 https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nAYNexOdUyAWk20-BGuoeKrMFcNoRhBg_k6Dk31oVRUNlBNQjUwMFNZM05PWU9XRTYzSU5HSlI4Ry4u Part 2 https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nAYNexOdUyAWk20-BGuoeKrMFcNoRhBg_k6Dk31oVRUNlVGUTFRUksyNFpMUFAwUk02MFE2NjVMRC4u Part 3 https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nAYNexOdUyAWk20-BGuoeKrMFcNoRhBg_k6Dk31oVRUMTlJRllSUkczM0ROSEFYT0RVR05VQVZCOC4u I want you to give me honest feedback as I'd like to be able to take the insights learned from your responses and share them with Mr. Frost and next year's ASB Exec Board so that they can learn from what we've experienced this year and try to improve upon it. Often what we do in ASB is learn from our mistakes and try to improve upon our past activities and experiences. With a changing of the guard each year (especially this year with a change in advisor) I don't want the lessons learned to get lost in the transfer. These reflections will not be used to give you a different grade, those are mostly set at this point (as long as you're engaging :) ) so please be as thoughtful and honest as you can. Thank you all for everything. I really have loved my time in ASB, especially the time I got to spend working with and learning from all of you. Mrs. Henry
Thanks all for your continued hard work. I have been really impressed with your ability to continue pushing forward with projects and have been thrilled with some of the results. This week you will continue more work on projects and getting reflections into me. I put the zeros and missing designations in for all missing work. As you turn those in I will replace the grade. REMINDER--this will have lowered most people's grades HOWEVER please remember that you CANNOT earn a score lower than what was posted for MT3 or Q3, you can only earn the same grade or higher. So please don't freak out. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about grades or anything to do with the class. I miss you all and hope you had a wonderful 3 day weekend, although it feels to me just like any other weekend or really any other day for that matter :)
Thank you all for your continued hard work this week. I think the projects have been going really well. I was especially impressed with all the entries we received for "I Miss You Day". I think it has been going really well. This week I want you continuing to work on your projects and also completing any reflections you might have. I will be going into Skyward this week and inputting zeros/missing for any work that is missing in the gradebook. REMEMBER you cannot receive a grade lower than what is posted in Q3/MT3 (whichever is higher) HOWEVER in order to receive a letter grade you must be engaging with the work. I defined this in the grading email I sent out as completing the reflections you have due. So please remember to work on them. I am going to be putting in the zeros/missing to help you to know what is missing. If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Just a reminder that I had to cancel this weeks Zoom meeting as I have some imaging that needs to be done now Tuesday morning. If you have anything that you need to address with the class this week, please let me know and we can schedule a meeting for later this week. If not, I will just talk to you all next Tuesday. Thank you for your continued hard work. I miss you all!
Thank you all for your continued work and engagement during the closure. We've got another week working on projects coming up this week. Monday I'd like you to prepare any updates you might have on your project for the class meeting on Tuesday. Tuesday we will meet via Zoom. A link for the meeting is in the weekly plan. We have at least one project proposal to review during the meeting. Wednesday through Friday you will continue working on projects.
Here's the recording from today's class.
I swear MS Streams has it out for me with the frozen pictures they choose Hey all. So we are now well on our way with the projects you have during the closure. Thank you all for the effort you've been putting into these projects and the effort you've put in to make sure that the IHS community still feels connected during this very isolating time. This week I am asking you to continue working on these projects. Monday though, I would like you to take the linked survey regarding how we are going to continue with the ASB class during this closure. Keep an eye on the Group Me and I look forward to talking with you on Tuesday at 10am. We will be meeting this week for sure, the mode of meeting will depend on the results from the survey on Monday.
