Welcome to the penultimate full week of this crazy school year! This week you will be finishing up the Career Project by completing the MS Form for your 3rd and 4th career (https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8nAYNexOdUyAWk20-BGuoeKrMFcNoRhBg_k6Dk31oVRUOVRJUThXRjdMMERBM0hLMUhQQUJTRU5RVC4u ) The rest of the week I'm going to have your work on discovering your work skills. One of the things I noticed during people's Mock Interviews and on the resumes and cover letters, is that sometimes students didn't know what to put if they had no work experience or to put added specificity to their work experience. Last semester I had a guest speaker come in who discussed the ideas of "transferable work skills", essentially the idea of identifying skills and things you do in your everyday life that could actually be considered a work skill. You'll complete a worksheet that will help you identify the activities you do on a school day and non-school day and then utilizing a Activities and Work Skills Reference Chart you will discover how to phrase these activities as an applicable work skill. We are almost at the end of the year. Next week we will wrap things up with a look at your High School and Beyond Plan as well as looking into College and Scholarship searches. I know this is starting (or continuing) to get pretty old, but you're almost there. Just hang in there a little longer. Thinking of you all and hoping you're doing well. Mrs. Henry
